Meet the Fresno Team Behind Birchbark Roofing Fresno

Roofing is a trade built on trust, and trust starts with knowing who’s actually on your property. Our Fresno crew has worked together through Central Valley summers that melt shingles and winters that send water where it doesn’t belong. What unites us is simple: we treat every roof like it’s our own home, and we don’t leave until the job is done right. Erik Lindgren built this team around people who understand that a roof is only as good as the attention paid to the details no one sees from the street.

Our People

Marcus T. – Lead Technician

Marcus has spent 14 years on Fresno roofs, and he’s seen just about everything this climate can throw at a shingle. He holds GAF Master Elite and CertainTeed Master Shingle Applicator certifications, which means he’s been through factory training most roofers never bother with. His specialty is flashing work, the metal details around chimneys, vents, and valleys where most leaks actually start. When Marcus walks a roof, he takes photos of every problem area and explains what he found in plain English, not contractor shorthand. Outside work, he’s the guy his neighbors call when their swamp cooler makes a sound it shouldn’t.

Dana R. – Senior Installer

Dana leads tear-off and installation on most replacement jobs, and she’s been doing it for 11 years. She’s OSHA-30 certified and particular about safety in a way that matters on a steep pitch or a hot deck in July. Her specialty is underlayment and ventilation, the layers under the shingles that determine whether a roof lasts 15 years or 30. Dana is the one who walks the job site with homeowners before work starts and points out exactly what’ll move, what’ll be protected, and where the dumpster will sit. She keeps a photo album on her phone of clean job sites, and yes, she will show it to you.

Rosa V. – Service Coordinator

Rosa is the voice you’ll most likely hear first, and she’s been answering calls for Birchbark Roofing Fresno since the day it opened. She knows the schedule, the material lead times, and which crew is on which job on any given Tuesday. Before a technician ever shows up, Rosa has already confirmed the appointment window, sent the tech’s name and photo, and made a note about the family’s dog or the baby’s nap schedule. She’s the reason our written pricing lands in your hand before any work starts. When something changes, she calls; she doesn’t text a vague “we’re delayed” and hope for the best.

Chris P. – Apprentice

Chris joined the crew two years ago and has been earning his hours toward journeyman status under Marcus and Dana. He’s learning the trade the right way: tear-off first, then dry-in, then flashing, then shingles. He’s already certified in ladder safety and fall protection, and he’s the one who sets up the shoe-covers-and-drop-cloths routine at every entry point before the first ladder goes up. Chris grew up in Clovis and knows the neighborhoods, which means he can tell you which streets flood during a storm and which ones bake dry in a week. He’s the reason clean-up photos get taken from three angles before anyone drives away.
